ACT 48 Credit, PSTA 2025 Conference

Act 48 attendance verification was once again available at the PSTA Conference. PSTA is not an approved Act 48 provider and thus cannot offer official Act 48 credit. PSTA will, however, provide you with verification of attendance to conference sessions. If you intend to use your attendance at the conference for Act 48 credits, it is your responsibility to make sure your district accepts your conference attendance as part of their approved program.

Once you submitted the session evaluation, you will be emailed a certificate of attendance. It was your responsibility to submit the session evaluation in order to receive your certificate. If you have any questions or issues with submitting, please email the Board of Directors at pstaboard@gmail.com.

**The PSTA board is currently working on certificates and will be notifying those who have submitted a session evaluation.**

Let's fill the boat ... literally! Climb aboard our scenic boat ride, take a deep dive into the future at the aquaponic farm tour, or blast off at the planetarium show. Spots are limited, so don’t drift, sail over to our website and register now!  Having trouble registering or want to chart a course for more than one event? Just drop us an anchor (aka an email) at pstaboard@gmail.com and we’ll help you navigate it.

(No refunds on previously sold pre-event tickets.)

2025 PSTA Conference Program is posted on the Conference web page.  From engaging sessions to exciting events, there’s something for everyone on board!

    NEW! PSTA Conference T-Shirt

PSTA Conference t-shirts will be available for just $15 each (no pre-sales). Stop by the table near registration to pick yours up—cash, check, or credit accepted.

If you see someone wearing a navy blue t-shirt, that’s a PSTA board member! On Monday, October 13, be on the lookout and feel free to introduce yourself, ask questions, and learn more about how you can get involved.

Thanks again for being part of the PSTA community. We hope to see next weekend!

Only 10 Days Left!  Call for Proposals 2025 PSTA Conference

This year’s theme, “Connect. Network. Collaborate.” centers around navigating the implementation of Pennsylvania’s newly adopted STEELS Standards. The PSTA board invites you to submit session proposals that will anchor fellow science educators in practical, classroom-ready strategies.

Rather than reinventing the wheel, we’re seeking proposals that showcase established resources, instructional tools, and proven approaches to STEELS-aligned instruction. Whether you’re charting new waters or steering a steady course, your insights can help others bring STEELS to life with confidence.

Don’t miss the boat—submit your proposal today!

All submissions due in 10 days - July 25th 2025!

Keep in mind the following guidelines when considering what to submit:

    • Speaking submissions do not need to be finalized presentations; however an outline of your topics will be required when submitting your proposals.
    • You can submit more than one proposal — fill out the form as many times as you need.
    • Solo, dual, and panel presentations are all welcome. If you would like to bring students to assist, they are welcome.
    • Sessions will be 45 minutes long.

To submit a proposal, fill out this form: https://forms.gle/M6krhz5hohpN1ZYZA

Thank you for your participation in the PSTA Conference. With your help, we will create the best conference ever! Please contact the PSTA Board of Directors with any questions.

Be sure to follow our hashtag #PSTAnchoringSTEELS on Social Media!
